Only the very best Western Red Cedar is used in the manufacture of Alton greenhouses. Cedarwood doesn’t shrink, warp or swell excessively, it’s virtually immune to decay due to it's natural oil content. It has excellent insulating qualities, is ligh and naturally repellent to moths, insects and vermin. All Alton greenhouses come with full-length toughened safety glass as standard factory fitted into the framework for fast and easy installation and most models feature pre-cast concrete base kerbs for extra rigidity and rot resistance.
